The DPOCC is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable organization that was established in 1992.  Its purpose is to assist law enforcement officers, who retired as a result of a disabling injury sustained in the line of duty, adjust to, and cope with, the many difficulties associated with an untimely and unplanned career ending.

There are frustrations and anxieties associated with this type of retirement that require support and understanding from the law enforcement family they once belonged to, and the general public, which they dedicated their lives to, in service.  The DPOCC is just such a support system, and all of its services and programs are provided to disabled, retired and active law enforcement officers.  It is the DPOCC's Mission, that through its services and programs, the quality of life for this group of public servants, will be greatly enhanced.
